What’s Your Schedule Like?

While I don’t have a chronic scheduling problem anymore, I still keep a very strict daily schedule, but you guys already know plenty about my schedule, so today I thought I’d get to know a bit more about yours. I’m going to leave some questions below, like I would in an interview, and you can leave your answers in the comments. I’ll leave my answers too, in case you want to read them 🙂

When do you wake up and go to bed? Do you consider yourself an early bird or a night owl?

4am, 9pm… I have a hunch that I’m an early bird 😉

What’s your favorite part of the day?

Right after a workout! I let myself have ice cream, and I’ll read a bit.

What’s your least favorite part of the day?

Eating… Excluding the ice cream, of course.

What are you favorite and least favorite weekdays?

I really love Mondays, because I usually get the most work done on those days, and I feel so happy and productive 🙂 Sundays are the opposite. I get to read, take walks outside, watch the sun rise, and play with my siblings, so I like them for a different reason. Thursdays can be tough, because I have several hours of school to do along with speech and debate meetings.

I look forward to seeing your responses!

I generally get up between 8:00 and 9:00 am if I can help it. 😉 Sundays it’s about 7:00 for church, Thursdays are also about 7:00 to try to make sure I finish everything before school, and Friday mornings are usually about 4:30-5:00 am. Some Saturday mornings I’m up around 7:00 so I can finish all of my farm chores. On almost every night except Friday, I go to bed sometime between 10:00 and 11:00, depending on how late I hang around with the family. I try to get some time for solitude after that, and actually start trying to sleep around 11:00 to midnight. It could take me as late as 1:00 am to fall asleep though, because I am a pretty extreme night owl. It doesn’t really matter what time I go to bed, I can never sleep before midnight. So I use those hours for other things, as mentioned above.

I don’t have a long-term, strict schedule, so there isn’t a consistent part of every day that I like. I love Monday mornings because I can finally relax from my crazy weekends. I also like coming in from a run around 10:30 or so, taking a shower, and settling into my school chair to work on history or theology.

Usually my least favorite time is when I can’t sleep as late as I want to, or whenever I am doing math or physics. 😉 Also, the hour before dinner time is usually pretty hectic, with a toddler demanding attention and Mommy stressing about the entropy of the house while she’s hot and frustrated making dinner.

Mondays are my favorite for the opposite reason from yours: after cramming for school on Thursday, being at school on Friday, working outside on Saturday, and church on Sunday, I can finally settle back into a routine of sorts on Monday. It’s a slow day, and I don’t do much, but it helps me relax a lot. I hate Thursdays, though. And often Saturdays as well, depending on how tired I am from school and how much work I have to do.

Wow, that was really long! Great questions!

So more of a night owl, huh? Hmm. Well, I’ve heard some people just work better later in the day. Do you usually write in the evenings?

“Entropy of the house”–love that term 😉 That does sound stressful. Stress has a tendency to be contagious 😛

      Why Thursdays and Saturdays?

      Thanks! 🙂
